COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES


There are various self-help, complementary & alternative therapies available at our Centre. We welcome people with lots of different conditions, such as M.S, Parkinson’s, Cancer, Stroke recovery, M.E/C.F.S, Fibromyalgia and many other conditions.


Below is a list of the main therapies that we offer at the Centre:


Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is an holistic treatment that involves the use of essential oils in a gentle massage, which helps to improve physical and emotional well-being.


Bowen Technique

Bowen Technique treatment consists of a series of gentle rolling moves with frequent pauses between moves, giving the body time to benefit from each set. Practitioners treat the body as a whole or will target a specific problem.


Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a therapy that works specifically on the area surrounding the head, the scalp, face, neck, shoulders and upper back.


Reflexology

Reflexology is a popular and relaxing holistic treatment based on the principle that reflex points on the feet are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body. It is a calming therapy that works on soothing the feet which correspond to points on the body.


Hopi Ear Candle

Hopi Ear Candling, or Thermo Auricular Therapy as it is also known, can be used to treat many conditions of the ear, nose and throat area.


Reiki

Reiki is a non-invasive complementary therapy, using natural energy. The therapist will place their hands on or near various parts of your body, the hands will remain in each position for up to 3 minutes before moving to the next position.


Facial Rejuvenation

Facial rejuvenation involves a relaxing uplifting facial and scalp massage focusing on pressure points and nerve endings on the face to promote circulation and tightening of the skin. and tone.


Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese healing art. The treatment incorporates gentle manipulations, stretches and pressure exerted using fingers and thumbs.
